RSM College, officially known as Ranjeet Singh Memorial Post Graduate College, holds a significant presence as a co-educational institution located in Dhampur, within the Bijnor district. Remarkably, it stands out as the exclusive agriculture college affiliated with MJP Rohilkhand University in Bareilly. Nestled in the agriculturally prosperous downland area (tarai) of Uttar Pradesh, the most densely populated state in India, the college has a rich history. Established in 1949 by Rani Phool Kunwari Sahiba of Sherkot State, the college was a heartfelt tribute to her beloved husband, Raja Ranjeet Singh. Originating as a school-level institution, it progressed to become RSM Degree College in 1958, initially offering education in the Arts faculty. The subsequent years marked key milestones, with the introduction of Agriculture classes at the undergraduate level in 1960 and Science classes in 1971.

Today, RSM College is a comprehensive educational institution, providing education at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It boasts 24 departments organized across six faculties, including Languages, Arts, Agriculture, Commerce, Education and Science. Approximately 3,750 students are served by the many departments, with more than 1,800 girls students making up a notable portion of the student numbers. The academic environment at RSM College is nurtured by a team of over 70 qualified faculty members, complemented by diligent non-teaching staff. The dynamic leadership of Prof. Rashmi Sharma Rawal as the principal ensures the effective functioning of the college.
